What is Muninnbase?
Muninnbase is an AI-powered employee knowledge base for small businesses. Your team asks questions in plain English; Muninnbase answers using only the documents you've uploaded. Employee handbook, PTO policy, expense SOP, IT runbook, whatever lives in the binder no one opens. Upload it once. Your team can ask it questions forever.
The problem it solves
Every small business has a knowledge problem. The dental hygienist asks the office manager how to log a sick day. The new framer asks the foreman where to find the safety sign-off form. The receptionist who's been there fourteen years gets pulled into every onboarding because she's the only one who remembers how the PTO accrual actually works.
That's expensive. The senior people in your company spend their day answering questions that have answers, somewhere, in a document nobody reads.
Muninnbase puts those documents to work.
How it works
Three steps to a working knowledge base.
- Upload your documents. Drop in your PDFs, Word files, and spreadsheets. Muninnbase reads them, breaks them into searchable chunks, and indexes them in seconds.
- Invite your team. Send invite links to your employees, managers, and other admins. Three roles, sensible defaults.
- Your team asks questions. Plain English, no syntax, no training. Muninnbase answers using only your company's documents, with citations on every response.
That's the whole product. There is no consultant, no integration project, no quarterly business review. You upload, you invite, you go.
What makes Muninnbase different
A few things matter.
Grounded answers only. Muninnbase will never make something up. Every answer comes from your documents, with source citations attached. When the answer isn't in your documents, Muninnbase says so. Out loud. That's the right behavior for a system your team has to trust.
Gap-aware. Every question that goes unanswered, whether by the system itself or by a thumbs-down from a user, lands in a queue your admins can review. That queue is also your documentation backlog. Over time, your knowledge base gets better because the questions tell you exactly where the gaps are.
Built for small businesses. Enterprise knowledge tools cost five figures a year and require a project manager to deploy them. Muninnbase starts at $49 a month and works in an afternoon. We don't pretend you have a Chief Information Officer. You don't have one. That's fine.
Who it's for
Muninnbase is built for businesses with fewer than 100 employees, where "ask someone who's been here a while" is the current knowledge management system. That includes:
- Dental practices, medical offices, and other small healthcare practices
- Construction firms, contractors, and trade businesses
- Small retail chains and franchise operators
- Professional services firms (accounting, law, consulting)
- Manufacturing shops and light industrial
- Any small business with a knowledge bottleneck
If you're a Fortune 500 with a dedicated information governance team, Muninnbase is not for you. If you're a five-person dental office and Janet is retiring in six months, you're exactly who we built this for.
What Muninnbase is not
Worth being clear.
- Not a document editor. Muninnbase reads your documents. You maintain them somewhere else: Google Drive, SharePoint, your file server, whatever you already use.
- Not a public chatbot. Only your invited team members can use it. Nothing is exposed to the open internet.
- Not a replacement for human judgement. Muninnbase answers procedural and factual questions from your documents. It is not your HR director, your safety officer, or your lawyer.
- Not magic. If a question's answer isn't in any of your uploaded documents, Muninnbase will tell your employee that it doesn't know. That's a feature, not a bug.
