Plans, pricing, and your free trial

Every new Muninnbase account starts with a 14-day free trial. No credit card required, no feature throttling, no upsell screens. Upload documents, invite your whole team, ask as many questions as you want. The clock starts the moment you finish signup.

At some point in those two weeks, you'll know whether Muninnbase belongs in your business. If it does, picking a plan and subscribing takes about 90 seconds.

What's included in your trial

The trial gives you everything. Every feature, every role, every part of the admin panel. Upload your documents, invite your team, ask as many questions as you need. Full access to the Q&A log, unanswered events, and the entire settings panel.

The point is for you to actually try the product the way you'd use it in production. Not a sandbox, not a demo.

The three plans

When the trial ends (or anytime before), you'll pick one of these.

PlanPriceUsersDocuments
Starter$29/monthUp to 10Up to 50
Team$49/monthUp to 50Up to 250
Business$99/monthUp to 150Up to 1,000

Every plan includes every feature. Source citations, unanswered tracking, role-based access, branding, retention controls. We don't gate functionality by tier. The only differences between plans are how many users and how many documents you can have.

How to choose:

  • Starter is right if you're a single-location business under 10 employees.
  • Team is the typical choice for offices and shops between 10 and 50 people.
  • Business is for multi-location operators or larger small businesses approaching the 150-employee mark.

If you outgrow your plan, upgrading is one click and takes effect immediately. See Manage your subscription.

What happens when your trial ends

If you subscribe before day 14, nothing changes. Your data is preserved, your team keeps working, you just start paying. We send a reminder email a few days before your trial expires.

If day 14 arrives without an active subscription:

  • Your admins land on a plan picker the next time they visit any admin page. The Settings page stays accessible, so you can still subscribe from there at any time. Topbar and sidebar still work; you can navigate the app, you just can't take admin actions until you subscribe.
  • Your employees and managers see a "Free trial ended" message in the chat with instructions to contact their admin. The chat input is replaced; their question history is preserved.
  • Your data stays exactly where it is. Documents, users, Q&A history, unanswered events. All preserved. Subscribing at any point unlocks everything immediately.

Nothing is deleted until you explicitly delete it. If you let the trial lapse and come back six months later, your data is still there. You just need to pick a plan to use it.

How to subscribe

The full flow:

  1. Go to Settings in the admin sidebar.
  2. Scroll to the Subscription section.
  3. Click Subscribe on the plan you want.
  4. Stripe Checkout opens in your browser. Enter your card details.
  5. Complete payment.
  6. You're returned to your Settings page with a confirmation toast and the active plan visible in the Subscription section.

That's it. Your account is now active, the trial-end gate is removed for all your users, and your subscription will auto-renew monthly.

Promotion codes

If you received a promotion code (from an early-access partner, a referral program, or a beta cohort), you'll enter it at the Stripe Checkout step. Look for the "Add promotion code" link beneath the card details field, apply the code, and the discount shows immediately in the order summary. Then complete payment as normal.

Payment methods and security

Muninnbase uses Stripe for all payment processing. All major credit and debit cards are accepted. Stripe handles the entire payment flow on their own infrastructure. Muninnbase never sees, stores, or has access to your card details.

Invoices are emailed to your account email after each successful charge. You can also access your full billing history through the Stripe Customer Portal anytime (see Manage your subscription).

A note on data continuity

The trial-to-paid transition is purely an unlock. Nothing migrates, nothing copies, nothing changes. Same documents, same users, same Q&A history, same settings. The Subscribe click just removes the gate.

This is intentional. If you spent two weeks setting up your workspace, the worst thing we could do is make you redo it.
