Cookie Policy

Effective Date: May 22, 2026 Last Updated: May 22, 2026

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how JM3 Solutions LLC d/b/a JM3 Labs (provider of the Muninnbase service and referred to in this policy as "Muninnbase," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar storage technologies on our website muninnbase.com (the "Site") and our software-as-a-service application (the "Service").

This Cookie Policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Subprocessor List, which describe how we handle personal information and which third parties may process data on our behalf.

2. What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, improve security, and remember preferences across sessions.

Browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) is a related technology that lets a website store information directly in your browser. It serves similar purposes to cookies but is accessed differently by web applications.

In this policy, when we use "cookies and similar technologies," we mean both cookies and browser storage.

3. How we use cookies and similar technologies

Muninnbase uses cookies and similar technologies for a single category of purpose: keeping the Service working and secure. We do not use cookies for analytics, advertising, social media tracking, or behavioral profiling.

Specifically, we use cookies and browser storage to:

  • Keep you signed in across pages and browser refreshes
  • Protect the Service from automated abuse, denial-of-service attacks, and bot traffic
  • Remember your interface preferences (such as light or dark mode)

4. Specific cookies and browser storage in use

4.1 Cookies

The following cookies may be set on your browser when you use the Site or Service. All cookies listed below are classified as strictly necessary for the operation and security of the Service.

Name Set by Purpose Type Duration
__cf_bm Cloudflare Distinguishes humans from bots. Helps protect the Service against automated abuse. First-party (set via Cloudflare on the Muninnbase domain) ~30 minutes
cf_clearance Cloudflare Issued after a visitor passes a Cloudflare security challenge. Allows continued access without re-challenging. First-party (set via Cloudflare on the Muninnbase domain) Up to 1 year

Cloudflare cookies are only set when our edge security layer determines they are needed. Many ordinary users will never see cf_clearance set because they never trigger a security challenge.

4.2 Browser storage

The following items may be stored in your browser's localStorage when you use the Service. These persist across browser sessions until you sign out, clear browser data, or the browser evicts them.

Key (or key pattern) Set by Purpose Duration
sb-<project>-auth-token Supabase JavaScript SDK Stores the authentication tokens (access and refresh tokens) that keep you signed in. Until sign-out or token expiry
theme Muninnbase application Remembers your light or dark mode preference. Until cleared by the user

If we add additional user-interface preferences in the future (such as collapsed/expanded sidebar state), they will be stored under similar localStorage keys and serve the same kind of strictly-necessary, preference-only purpose. We will update this table accordingly.

5. Cookies and technologies we do not use

We want to be specific about what is not happening when you use Muninnbase:

  • We do not use analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Plausible, PostHog, or similar). We do not track your behavior on the Site or in the Service.
  • We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies. We do not buy ads that follow you around the internet, and we do not sell or share your information with ad networks.
  • We do not use social media tracking pixels (Facebook Pixel, X/Twitter Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or similar).
  • We do not use session replay or behavioral analytics tools (FullStory, Hotjar, LogRocket, or similar).
  • We do not use cross-site tracking technologies.

If we ever add a technology that goes beyond strictly-necessary purposes, we will update this Cookie Policy and, where applicable law requires it, present a consent mechanism before any non-strictly-necessary cookie is set.

6. Cloudflare Turnstile

When you sign up for an account, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-respecting alternative to traditional CAPTCHA, to confirm you are a human and not an automated script. Turnstile is designed to operate without persistent cookies and without the behavioral profiling typical of older CAPTCHA solutions. It analyzes lightweight signals about the signup request in the moment and does not store identifiers on your browser for later use.

7. Third-party cookies

We do not embed third-party scripts that set their own cookies on our domain beyond Cloudflare's edge-security cookies described above.

If you follow a link from the Site or Service to a third-party website (for example, a vendor's documentation or a help article on an external domain), that third-party site is governed by its own privacy and cookie practices. We have no control over cookies set by third-party sites.

8. Your choices and how to manage cookies

Because Muninnbase uses only strictly-necessary cookies and storage, disabling them will break the Service. Specifically:

  • Blocking Cloudflare security cookies may cause the Service to challenge or block your requests.
  • Blocking or clearing the Supabase authentication storage will sign you out and require you to log in again.

That said, you can manage cookies and browser storage through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • See which cookies and storage items are set for a website
  • Delete individual or all cookies and storage items
  • Block cookies from being set in the future, for all sites or specific sites
  • Set the browser to delete cookies and storage when you close it

Instructions are available from your browser vendor:

You can also use your browser's private or incognito mode, which typically isolates cookies and storage to that session and discards them when the window closes.

9. Do Not Track signals

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting that sends a signal to websites indicating a preference not to be tracked. Because Muninnbase does not track users for analytics, advertising, or behavioral purposes, our behavior does not change based on DNT signals. The cookies and storage described in this policy are strictly necessary for the Service to function and are unrelated to tracking.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and, for Customers, notify the account administrator by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.

If we ever add cookies or technologies beyond strictly-necessary purposes, the policy update will be substantive and, where applicable law requires it, accompanied by a consent mechanism in the Service.
